Redesign Advertising Platform
One stop solution to advertise your product through any digital screen.
CASESTUDY OVERVIEW
ADX Asia - Advertising Exchange Asia, is a media platform for advertising through a website, designed to help those who want to advertise their product without hassle. The goal was to create a responsive e-commerce site with user friendly interface which was developed step by step so that people are able to discover which place are good for advertising and create a campaign for it.
My role here is to create brand identity, user interface and experience, and later was working together with a senior product designer which gradually became a team work.
DESIGN BRAND & STYLE-GUIDE

Gain Knowledge Through Process
User Research is a very important part of design development. We used Online search, interview with users, and marketing team to synthesised findings into actionable deliverables such as user story, work flow, wireframe, etc. At this stage, we also discussed about the possible future interaction and requirements before proceeding for further development.
Softwares that I used while working on this product was, Moqups; create a low fidelity prototype and brainstorming ideas, Sketch; design user interface for high fidelity, Invision; builds interaction design, Zeplin; provide specs for developers, Jira; maintain design sprint on every development progress, and last but not the least, Confluence; for product documentation.
USER RESEARCH
WORK FLOW
CHALLENGE
-
The company's website needs to be redesigned from open-source CMS and web framework.
-
There is no personal dashboard for users to access more details.
-
Brand Identity needs to be created according to the company's vision and mission.
OBJECTIVE
-
Create a website and dashboard page for users so that they can monitor their own campaign details and have a download feature.
-
User interface and experience need to be aligned with brand core values.

DESIGN ITERATION
*Previous home page
Based on the feedback we got from previous design. Most of the users are not comfortable with the idea of search bar because they have no idea how to start their campaign or which place is good to advertise their products. Hence, we concluded to focus on the idea of product filtering, which is more user-centric and intriguing for first time user.
More Challenges
-
Display filter drop down beside omni-search bar so that users can easily select which filter they want to use for searching and it is not restricted by three types of filter.
-
Another option for advanced search feature would be great with some valid metrics of average demographic audiences on each location.
River Valley
Provide a point of interest in each location area such as Tourist site, Business district, etc. Thus, it helps users who want to create an advertisement campaign based on interest.

Restructuring Information Architecture
This dashboard is available for both users (advertisers and hosts), however advertiser section are restricted for advertiser and it also applies to host as well. While media library and account are accessible for both users.
On this page, users (advertiser) are able to download report once campaign already expired.
It is also shown every detail on the selected campaign, including; total spending, traffic, location, TV slot, showtime summary, total refund, and the report details on each location.
*After received some feedback and iterated.
Iteration
-
Develop a feature to display selection for location, property type, and audience profile based on user and market research database.
Example of point of interest and recommendations on homepage.
PROTOTYPE DESIGN
4
*Mostly flow chart and low-fi prototype are created on paper which is faster due to time constraint.
Home Dashboard
The main dashboard that shows all your recent activities, the campaign’s status, and all statistics for the entire time of campaign record. It also shows an empty state for "Advertiser and Host" with Call To Action button to encourage users to take action.
*Dashboard for Advertiser
Finalized dashboard design in high fidelity for both users ( Advertisers and Host ). Advertisers are those who advertise through our site while Host are the one who owns the place. This platform can work for both users, which mean Host can be Advertiser and vice versa.
What I had done so far up to this stage; created a brand identity, arrange user interviews, work on ideation, rapid wireframe on paper, build high fidelity design. I also tested the usability of the prototypes by designing tasks, testing with several users and iterating based on results.
*Example data from excel; one campaign may contains multiple location. How Might We help users to see their campaign track records?
Some other findings are users were not too intrigued to create an advertisement campaign in our platform due to the filter that restrict users to search freely and it cause an issue for potential new advertiser who have no idea where to advertise. And based on my hypothesis, here are the iterations that I would do for the next phase.
